Guideline Update: On 17 August 2021, EPA Victoria released an advisory guideline which outlines the concept of minimisation of risk of harm to human health and the environment in the context of the clean-up of contaminated groundwater.
EPA Publication 2001.1: Guidance for the clean-up and management of contaminated groundwater, replaces previous Publication 840.2 (2016) which was utilised throughout the contaminated land industry to assess and determine groundwater clean-up to the extent practicable (CUTEP).
This document has been prepared as part of a suite of new guidelines issued post implementation of the new Environment Protection Act 2017, which came into effect on 01 July 2021.
